A dynamic illuminated elevation

The central core of the Expo Sphere features an impressive 80-metre elevator shaft, with two sets of four elevators transporting visitors between the building’s various floors. VML-Technologies was tasked with designing an array of four sections, each consisting of 14 vertical, diffused LED lines, extending the full height of 80 metres. These colourful LED lines trace the movement of each elevator as it travels up and down.

Additionally, the elevator carriages are equipped with LED lighting, working in harmony with the shaft lighting to create a subtle yet dynamic effect that enhances the natural movement of the carriages.
